Thunderstorm pics

I took these pic's just moments before the wind hit (crazy winds) and then the sky fell...we had a HUGE storm go over...the sky at times was almost a "green" color and all the kids were a little freaked out, but it was just a massive thunderstorm...thank goodness!

I hope to be back a bit later with a card - I haven't been crafty for a while, and I have a very busy week ahead, so I'd like to get one card done tonight! :) TTYL....

PPC - CC#19 Window Sheet Thank You

It's time for another color challenge at Picture Perfect Creations...I was excited to do this color combo this week as it is incorporating some of the new colors coming in! Riding Hood Red is coming back and I'm super pumped about that - it was one of my fav's! The Daffodil Delight is a very beautiful yellow - I have never been a big *fan* of yellow, but I thoroughly enjoy this one. WTG, Stampin' Up!

I decided to go through some of my old stash of goodies I have hoarded in my craft room closet and I came across the printed window sheets that have never been opened (shame, shame). They make a very elegant and EASY card to put together...I really enjoyed making this one!

Paper: Whisper White, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Riding Hood Red; Accessories: printed window sheets (thank you), soft suede ribbon, white brads, dimensionals (the whole panel is 3-d), eyelet border punch

June and July Calendar Pages

...good evening from a rainy central Alberta! We are getting very lovely thunderstorms passing over and they are giving us some wonderful showers. It's been years since we've had decent moisture in our neck of the woods and boy, sure smells nice outside and everything is so lush and green now! The DH and I actually have an evening without kids (I know, wow, hey?!) so this is going to be a short post and I'll be back tomorrow! :) These are the 12 x 12 calendar pages we are making this weekend for our Stamp Club. We are not meeting in July or August, so we are making 2 months in one day. Thanks for popping in! Have a super night...

Happy Monday! How was your Father's Day weekend? Mine was very busy with a house full of company and enjoying the beautiful temp's outdoors in the flower beds and garden! Are you ready to get crafty now? I hope you do too! I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday but didn't do a circle as the focal point, I used a rectangle...but, that's ok, right?!? I hope so *grin*

Stamps: Many Mower; Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi; Ink: Versafine Black; Accessories: tangerine ribbon, star punches, brad, markers, clear embossing powder, cuttlebug folder, stampin up square lattice folder, dimensionals

Copics Textures Class with Laura!

Good evening! Melissa and I just got back from another very informative copics class with Laura being our wonderful teacher! I am so excited to know that you CAN color on rubber stamps (rubber ONLY) with copics as long as you use the colorless blender in a mister bottle to re-moisten the stamp before you stamp on your paper!!! OMGOSH Melissa and I both were freakin' out!!! There were a few other cool techniques we got to muck with tonight too - we were introduced to the whole airbrush system with the copics and man oh man, let me tell ya - that was neat to see....I highly recommend anyone who wants to even "muck" in the world of COPICS, to take a few courses....they are very informative! Here are 2 of the 3 cards we made this evening - I'll finish up the last one and get it on here sometime tomorrow! Thanks for stoppin' in! xoxoxo

Happy Hump Day! It's another rainy one here in central Alberta, Canada. We have had such nice rainy days lately - the crops, gardens, trees and grass are all going to do so well this year! It's been so dry here the past 4 or 5 years, we've been in desperate need of this. It can start to warm up for the weekend though - it's my birthday and wedding anniversary! TEE HEE...

I decided to get up early with DH and see him off and then come into my craft room and get creative....I found a cool sketch from Kazan over at 2 Sketches 4 You and I also used the photo inspiration over at Stampin' Celebration...

Dear Father...

Welcome back! It's been raining non-stop all day today and I must admit, I'm *happy* about that! The rain helped me to relax today and not worry about yard work and gardening etc. I enjoyed a 2.5 hr bubble bath today with my book that I cannot put down! Yep, you heard right - 2.5 hours :o) I had to drain and refill twice before I got out - ha ha!!

I finished planting the garden last night, so that's a bonus! The seeds will welcome this rain with open arms. I think we are scheduled for rain all this week and hopefully the weekend turns nice as I am planning a fun "girls only" weekend in the city to celebrate my 40th birthday! Yay!!!

I have been wanting to watch "New Moon" for quite some time now and I just haven't done it. I was talking to Tamie tonight and she challenged me to sit and watch it tonight. So, I will be doing that later on. I wanted to sit and get a card made before I did though. Father's Day is in a couple weeks, so I wanted to get a jump on those. I used the Mojo Monday sketch, and this card also qualifies for The Shabby Tea Room and Always Playing With Paper's challenges of "Father's Day or Masculine."

Stamps: Well Scripted; Paper: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, To the Nines DP, Sahara Sand; Ink: Chocolate Chip; Accessories: choc ribbon, oval punch, scallop oval punch, brads, decor elements Elegant Trio stencils, sponge dauber, dimensionals, scallop trim punch, stapler
Thanks for poppin' in tonight. Don't forget about my Celebration Blog Candy - deadline is June 11th - be sure to click on the picture at the top right of my blog. Good luck!!

PPC - CC#16 and OCCSC#18

Hello there my wonderful crafting PEEPS! I stayed overnight at Tamie's in Millet on Saturday night and we stayed up late stamping images and coloring them so we could have a "stash" of finished images at our fingertips! :) Yesterday was also a fun day for my daughter, Kim, and I...we went with Tamie and her daughter, Kaitlyn, to the Canadian Rhythmic Gymnastics Finals in Edmonton! That was so neat to watch - those girls can do some AMAZING things with ribbons, balls, clubs and their f-l-e-x-i-b-l-e bodies, let me tell ya! Thanks, Tamie, for a super great day and night!

This week's color challenge over at Picture Perfect Creations was a fun one for me - thanks Megan! :) Be sure to hop on over and create a card, scrapbook page or 3D project to play along with us! Along with Megan's fun color challenge, I also found an awesome sketch over at Our Creative Corner challenge blog...

...here is my card using both challenges:

Wedding CASE

Good evening my crafting PEEPS out there in blogland....it's been a wicked-crazy week, let me tell ya...my kids' last day of sending in school work was today, so since we started school late this year, we were cramming all week. Plus, I've had an emotional time of it as we finally got someone to listen to us regarding our complaints as to WHY we are now homeschooling the kids - and things are FINALLY going to be done about it. It's been a LONNNGGGGGG week! LOL...but a good one in the end. :)

Now, I probably didn't tell you, but Melissa and I went scrapbooking in Jasper last weekend with a group of wild and crazy ladies - Joycelyn and Becky (from Totally Stampalicious) and our good friend, Diana and her friend Ronda. All these girls grew up together and went to school together and it was a hoot meeting them all and spending quality "close-quarters" with all 4 of these fabulous ladies - hearing about their school years and wild and crazy things they've done.

Anywhoooo...to get to the point of my blog post LOL...Joycelyn made a beyoootiful wedding card on her blog for a challenge a while ago, and I've been saving a copy of the card on my computer for quite some time because I had to order the set to CASE it! LOL...So...now I have the set, and I just *had* to re-build this gorgeous wedding card. I am a total FAN of red/white/black for weddings so I hope she doesn't mind me copying her card....My card qualifies for this week's challenge over at Crafty Creations Challenges where they want us to use "White, Black and a splash of Red"....click HERE to check out hers.....here is mine:

Stamps: Together Forever; Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red; Ink: Versafine Black; Accessories: pearls, scallop trim punch, dimensionals, red satin ribbon, finial press embossing folder

Thanks, Joycelyn for such a GORGEOUS card! I might do up a few of these so that I can have them on hand for weddings/anniversaries in the future! You ROCK girl!

Thanks for stoppin in tonight...don't forget to check out my BLOG CANDY (button on top right) and also be sure to hop on over to the Picture Perfect Creations blog and join us in our Color Challenge #15 - Megan has a great prize up for grabs!! :)
