Gardening Fun at As You Like It

The challenge at As You Like It for the next 2 weeks is "Your Favorite Layout" and WHY....you need to let us know why you like the one you use most....Here is a bit about our sponsor for this challenge:

The sponsor of this challenge is

Sweet and Sassy Stamps

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

I have a couple "go-to" layouts that I use but I really love this one where it's VERY clean and simple with the main image panel as the main focal point. I decided to use black card stock and no designer paper so that I would get the POP of black coming out from her glasses. I feel that the image is what your eyes go to first and it is a WOW factor statement that is achieved....

This funny gardening girl is from Doctor Digi House of Stamps and they are SO FUN to color up!! Be sure to hop on over to the As You Like It challenge blog and show us YOUR style. Check out all the amazing work by my super-talented teammies while you are there - they blew this one out of the water!! CHEERS!

4 CC #261 Funky Hair

Happy Thursday everyone :)

Can you believe that school starts on Monday for our area?! No, I can't either - and it's a bit weird this year ... I only have one going back. Kim is in her 11th year and it's a full one. Summer holidays sure seem to fly by now....you blink and they are over. Maybe I will still get to the lake on a nice warm afternoon and stick my feet in the water and read a book....that would be sweet :)

It is my turn to be challenge hostess over at 4 Crafty Chicks this week. I decided to go a bit "FUNKY" and throw out the following challenge:

4 CC #261 Unusually Colored Hair

For my card, I colored up an image from Lacy Sunshine and made it using bright designer papers and gumdrops....for my SK8R letters, I used the Cute Alpha Set and Cute Alpha set Die from Your Next Stamp:

Come on over to the challenge blog HERE and see what the rest of the girls have got for you to drool over - there are some pretty funky cards :) Cheers!

Merry Monday #169

For the next 2 weeks over at Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge blog, miss Debbie is hosting the "color" challenge:

It's the middle of August - do you have some Christmas cards stashed away yet?! NO? Well, now is better than never to get started on them....

You might have seen this cutie patootie penguin on a pre-colored digi card I made a while ago. I decided to print him out in black and color him with copics. I just love this image - it's so FUN!! :)

Come on over and check out the blog - so much inspiration for you and no better time than now to get a jump start on those cards...it will help eliminate that rushed feeling near the holidays! Cheers!!

For our challenge this week, Tina is looking for anything NAUTICAL! I don't have a lot of nautical stamps in my stash, so I decided to do the colors of the popular theme and used a Paper Smooches sentiment:

I am loving the CAS design of this card and it took me less than 10 mins from start to finish :) Gotta luv that!
