Super Mum ...sharing some exciting news!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Welcome back to my blog - I am so excited to share this post with you as it is a new year and I am excited to announce I have the honor of being on a brand new challenge blog DT!

A Perfect Time to Craft is a monthly "Anything Goes" challenge that is to help promote various artists and their amazing images! You can read all about it and the details HERE!

My Stitch Back in Twine is our first monthly sponsor for January and you can come check out all of Kristyn's super cute images HERE....

 I chose to use this super cute image called "Super Mum" and I just *had* to color her up in Christmas colors because let's face it - all Moms are SUPER MOMS when it comes to the holidays! Am I right?! I am so right.....

I colored her with my Copic Markers, die cut her out with a fancy labels die from Craftin' Desert Divas and added some snowflakes and pearls....

Thank you again, Kristyn, for being our very first sponsor and letting me use your awesome image! Be sure to hop on over to the A Perfect Time to Craft blog and link up your "Anything Goes" project for a chance at some awesome images! Happy crafting!

{I Believe!}

Happy New Year's Eve everyone ... I have had a fantastic week of celebrating, visiting, eating great food, snow blowing, crafting and relaxing - how about you? Now, we get to celebrate all over again tonight, hahaha! I am at my Dad's visiting with him and my sister, brother-in-law and nieces and nephew - since Dad had a hip replacement December 22 and wanted to be at home, recovering from surgery during Christmas....he's doing FANTASTIC!

On a more serious note, please, if you are out and about celebrating and ringing in the new year, do NOT drink and drive. Be safe, be smart and most of all HAVE FUN!

Alright - onto the business at hand - I am here to show you another card made with the amazing stamps from The Project Bin:

This was made with the fun set called Maybe Christmas:

Maybe Christmas_with watermark and outline

With a little bit of patterned paper, an embossing folder and some foam squares, you can make a very pretty, yet simple card in no time at all! I pierced around the sentiment oval just to give it a bit more definition but other than than, this card took very little time to create, yet packs a great deal of creative punch!

Thanks again for stopping in and seeing what I have been up to in the craft room! Now off you go and get celebrating a new year - ring it in with family and friends and be safe! CHEERS!!!

{Merry Christmas!}

Happy Saturday! Well, it's Christmas Eve....are you READY?! I am :) I am excited for tomorrow - both of my kids will be here and we are also having friends over for ham and turkey dinner!

This year is kind of a bitter sweet one - my youngest turns 18 on Dec 29th and I am feeling some mixed emotions this year - both kids are now adults and the whole dynamics of Christmas will change. Yes, I know - you are only as old as you feel (and act LOL) and I will continue to try to make it special for my kids and keep them "young at heart" ;) I will always cherish Christmas memories that I had growing up with my family - my parents ALWAYS made it a very special and magical time for all of us girls (there were 4 of us!) Anyhow....tomorrow is going to be special and I'm excited to have everyone around the tree and table, sharing it with some special friends xoxoxoox

OK....onto the reason you are here *wink* - I have made a card using the cute stamp set Maybe Christmas from The Project Bin:

Maybe Christmas_with watermark and outline

I die cut some ornaments out of my front layer and added some striped designer paper behind the popped up layer....the sentiment is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black to give it a crisp, bold look. Added some pearls and string lines and all done! Here's a close up:

I love the crisp, bold sentiments in this set - so versatile and such WOW factor! Makes creating CAS cards even more fun!

Thanks for stopping in - I know it's a very busy season...so off you go to enjoy your family, friends, good food and cheer! Merry Christmas!

4 CC #330 {New Year's Resolution}

This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks, it is my turn to bring you the challenge for the next week. I am wanting to see projects related to a NEW YEARS RESOLUTION you may have!

4 CC #330 {NEW YEARS RESOLUTION}

These cards were created at our group craft night using the MFT Quilt die and some scraps of pattern paper....here's a close up:

I have never quilted anything and my youngest sister dabbles in it and loves it. We were at a craft show together in September and we both bought a simple quilting kit - that she promised to help me make...as long as we did it TOGETHER!

She doesn't get to craft as much as I do and we do not get to do a lot of crafty things together, so we are making it a promise to each other to do it! Here is the same card but with a cobbler base:

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Christmas at Sweet Stampin' - Anything Christmas
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
Cards and More - Christmas

Please be sure to hop on over to the Hen House and check out what the rest of the Chicks have created for you. We would love to see what crafty projects you come up with relating to YOUR new years resolution! Happy crafting!

{Christmas Blessings}

Happy Saturday everyone!

We are in the midst of another cold snap here in central Alberta -32C overnight and then around -27C daytime. Brrrr....I think we have some reprieve coming next week (let's hope they are right!)

How are your Christmas preparations coming along? I think I just have some baking to do and I will finish trimming the tree today or tomorrow...and there's always those last minute shopping trips a few days before, right?! lol....

Today I am showcasing another pretty card made using stamps from The Project Bin

I used the gorgeous set called Luke 2 for my card:

luke-2-with-outline

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
